Carnival Carnage

A while back, I was totally inspired to make my own fighting game, then I see a trailer for Skullgirls for the first time and become even MORE eager to make one. My first idea was for giant monsters, Reptearosawr, Tundroth, them ol' boys. Recently I've made a whole 8 characters that I'll post up by the end of Summer.
Another idea came to mind when watching an episode of Dexter's Lab, the episode where Dexter turns into a CLOWN and gets defeated by Deedee, who becomes a MIME. I thought of how their abilities would be used in a fighter. Then more characters based on performers rose up: a muscle head, a contortionist, a pair of short people (ah la the rollie pollies from "A Bug's Life"), and many more.
I decided to use this idea for my final project in my awesome "2D Art for Games" class, the assignment: create a title screen. So, what are you waiting for? Insert a Coin!
I loved this project, one of my favorite results of a school assignment ever. I not only feel the self improvement, I can clearly see it in this picture.
Now over the Summer, I plan on doing loads of drawing, and animating, so keep you expectations high, and I'll be sure to satisfy them.
